The
openings slant diagonally
through the cloth giving no
visible mesh. the main wires
are thicker and widely spaced,
the cross wires are finer
and closely spaced. This construction
gives a very compact, firm
mesh with great strength and
is primarily used as a filter
medium with a good flow rate.
Mesh is indicated by the number
of cross wires between a distacne
of 1 inch (25.4mm.)
